Older man with nurse

The Lee Silverman Voice Treatment Program (LSVT)  was developed by Lorraine Ramig and Carolyn Mead in 1995.  It is a program specifically designed for people with Parkinson's Disease who are experiencing problems with their speech.  It primarily aims to increase a person's speech intelligiblity by improving the ability to use increased effort to achive a louder voice quality.

Clients are seen on an individual basis enabling the Speech Pathologist to assist the person in achieving a louder voice and an ability to monitor their own performance.
